for a Program Manager to join our growing team! JOB SUMMARY The
Program Manager role will provide technology execution and
leadership for strategy and management over the groups Lab systems
environments. The program manager will provide leadership and
execution expertise in systems architecture analyzing business
requirements, developing application initiatives, and managing a
growing backlog of tasks for the LIMS engineering and support
teams. In this key role, you will be charged with helping manage
technology development focused on delivering state-of-the-art
technology lab solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong
leadership skills and will interface with the engineering teams and
broader business alike to align business priorities with technical
initiatives. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the lean application
development backlog and ongoing feature development team through
changing work requirements and priorities, demanding deadlines,
operational crisis situations, as well as being able to keep pace
with multiple concurrent priorities. Develop a 3-year roadmap for
all key lab systems and achieve results that have cross-functional,
cross-district and System impact. Lead and deliver complex software
projects to business specifications on time and within budget.
Drive communication consensus with key internal and external
customers, ELT and Board regarding applications. Make decisions
regarding the functionality of our lab systems, adopting a
strategic approach that aligns with the long-term roadmap. Ensure
support teams follow best practices and agile methodologies.
Identify and mitigate risks related to application development,
delivery, and operations. Implement strategies to ensure security
and compliance with relevant regulations. Establish and implement
quality assurance and testing processes to ensure the reliability
and performance of applications. Lead the establishment and
continual improvement of application performance metrics to measure
health and status of critical systems. Collaborate with
multi-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT
solutions across the enterprise. SUPERVISION Supervision and
oversight of incumbents MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science, Management or related degree. 10 years of
demonstratable experience in an program/project management role.
Minimum of 5 years' experience managing a diverse application or
support team. Preferred experience managing LIMS platforms.
Transformational and consolidation experience a strong plus.
Experience managing off-shore development and support teams. Deep
project management back ground coordinating development team to
achieve business objectives. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Sitting for extended
periods of time Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a
computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other
communications/computer components Occasionally lift and/or move up
to 25 pounds. Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne
particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens Noise
level varies from quiet to loud. Temperature varies from hot to
