  • Ortho/Surgical unit information:
  • Number of Beds - 35
  • Number of Staff - 11. Day Shift - 1 charge /CNC, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs, and 1 unit clerk. Night Shift - 1 Charge/CNC, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
  • Patient Ratios - 1:5, 1:6
  • Type of equipment - Computer on Wheels/Hospira pumps/I MOBILE phones
  • EMR - MEDITECH
  • Typical procedures performed on units: Bariatric procedures (Gastric bypass, Gastric Sleeves), Orthopedic Surgeries (Total hip replacements, Total knee replacements), General Surgery (Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, Laparoscopic appendectomies)
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Preferred or nice to have: Bariatric Certification, Med/Surg Certification, Ortho Certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
      • Schedule Information
      • 4 weekend shifts in a schedule or 2 full weekends. Night shift weekend night Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Day Shift weekend days- Saturday, Sunday
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Floating Guidelines: Expected to work and float to other areas such as Med/Renal, Oncology, Med/Surg Tele, CVTS, and Telemetry
        • Attendance Policies: Floating Area
        • Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have BLS
