  • Job Details
  • Med Sol prescreens, manager will review and offer
  • Unit: M/S/Oncology/Tele - 15 beds - Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5
  • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: COPD, Sepsis, Pneumonia, UTI, AMS, Pancreatitis, Diverticulitis, all types of cancer diagnosis, hospice, non-cardiac related telemetry monitoring
  • No RN's required to titrate drips - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: None
  • Centralized monitoring is available, RN should be able to read strips
  • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Yes, and the charge nurse may take an assignment
  • Nurse Aides on unit/Ratios: Yes, 1:15
  • RT/Equipment: cpap
    • Job Requirements
    • RN must pass the Basic Dysrhythmia (83%) before signing the contract (three attempts allowed)
    • Required Certifications: BLS and NIHSS
    • Experience or 'Must have' skills: telemetry, trach, peg care, foley, central line, med administration, assessments, nursing care plan, patient teaching, O2 management, IV, NGT
    • Meditech experience preferred
    • Oncology experience is not required, but is helpful
      • Schedule Information
      • Self-scheduling available with block scheduling allowed
      • Weekend Requirements: 8-9 per 6 weeks schedule
      • Holiday Requirements: 2 major, 1 minor
      • Call or Standby requirement: Yes
      • Floating Requirements: Yes
      • Shifts: 12hr Days, EOW (Every Other Weekend), First to Float

        • Unit/Department Specific Orientation: 3-6 shifts

          • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy - undershirts must be navy. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.
