Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Telemetry Job
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:30 (12 HR Nights) Guaranteed
Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year in related nursing
specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or
compact Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Bachelor of Science
Degree in Nursing preferred Job Description: - Provide routine and
complex care with awareness of all relevant aspects of patient
situations. - Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to
other care providers. - Continue to develop the ability to manage
clinical nursing contingencies. - Meet expectations of applicable
competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of
Leaders. - Utilize the nursing process, including assessment,
diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned
patients. - Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional,
cultural, and social needs of patients and families. - Administer
medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for
side effects and effectiveness. - Document patient history,
symptoms, medication, and care given. - Assess learning needs and
provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers. -
Use critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and modify
care plans to meet individual needs using evidence-based practice.
- Implement patient care and therapeutic procedures; monitor and
document progression of treatment and teaching goals. - Evaluate
care and treatment provided to the patient and the patient's
response. - Anticipate and plan for admission, discharge, and
transfer needs to facilitate patient flow. - Plan, direct, and
evaluate the overall nursing care and functions in a nursing unit
during assigned shifts. - Demonstrate good stewardship in the use
of equipment and supplies. - Educate and train others on industry
operations, ethics, and regulations. - Incorporate patient safety
practices to promote a safe environment and positive patient
outcomes. - Demonstrate accountability for nursing research and
quality improvement activities. - Comply with healthcare-related
laws and regulations. - Explain health information documentation
best practices. - Ensure all equipment and related supplies are in
proper working order for safe use. - Transcribe verbal orders and
ensure their accuracy. - Ensure patient safety and address any
