  • ICU nursing position at St Joseph Health College Station Hospital
  • Typical census of 6-8 patients with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU and 1:4 in PCU
  • Common diagnoses include cardiac issues, abdominal surgery, ortho surgery, sepsis, overdose, COVID, and general surgery.
    • Job Requirements
    • One year of experience required
    • Must pass Basic Dysrhythmia (83%) before signing the contract
    • Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit within the past year.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM
      • Block scheduling on night shifts
      • Schedule is provided 4 weeks in advance
      • 4 weekend shifts per month required
      • Expectation to work holidays as needed
      • Possibility of being put on call for low census.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Common titratable drips include all common critical care drips
        • Nihon Koden monitors used for telemetry.
          • Additional Details
          • Charge nurse on each shift takes patients
          • Hospitalist and Intensivist available 24/7
          • RT covers ICU and ER 24/7
