Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Safety Professional

Position type: Full-time/Contract
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Chicago IL - Onsite-Hybrid

As a Safety Professional, you will:
Provide internal consulting and guidance on safety, including committees.
Collaborate across departments to address safety issues and support programs.
Investigate accidents, prepare documentation, and recommend preventive measures.
Develop safety programs, SOPs, and manuals.
Support safety meetings and training, including new hire orientation.
Coordinate safety audits and long-term improvements.
Facilitate safety discussions with contractors.
Maintain current safety knowledge through reading and seminars.
Oversee at least one Safety Program and Customer Service support.
Assist Occupational Health and Environmental Departments.
Respond to reported safety events and perform on-call duties.
Perform administrative tasks and other assigned duties.
Support Power Gen and potential outages, including occasional weekends.


The ideal candidate will have:
Understanding of BBS concepts.
High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations.
Experience as a Safety Professional in an industrial facility.
Consulting and skilled craft experience.
Certifications: CIH, CSP/ASP, CSHO (Construction and General Industry), STS.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
